OFAC Updates Week 5/10/21

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has updated their Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons (SDN) list with a variety of designations and removals. OFAC has issued counter-terrorism designations on Lebanese individuals linked to suspected terrorist organizations. OFAC has also updated a designation related to activity in Ukraine and has removed designations related to Syria.


May 12, 2021

OFAC has updated their SDN list with Kingpin Act updates.There were nine Mexican designations placed upon individuals and two entities. Two individuals were also removed from the list.


May 14, 2021

OFAC has made an amendment to the Narcotics Trafficking Sanctions Regulations and the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Sanctions Regulations. The amendments include updates to general licenses regarding payments for legal services, transactions for personal maintenance, transactions for maintenance of blocked property, emergency medical services and other transactions. The amendments will take effect May 17,2021.
