OFAC Updates Week 11/16/20

November 16, 2020

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has issued the Venezuela-related General License 8G. The full name of the license is Authorizing Transactions Involving Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PdVSA) Necessary for the Limited Maintenance of Essential Operations in Venezuela or the Wind Down of Operations in Venezuela for Certain Entities.

November 17, 2020

OFAC has updated their Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons (SDN) List with counter terrorism designations for two individuals with ties to Somalia and Kenya.

November 18, 2020

OFAC has updated their SDN List with more than sixty Iran-related entries of both individuals and entities related to counter terrorism and non proliferation actions.

November 19, 2020

OFAC has updated their SDN List with North Korea and Syria-related designations. The North Korea related sanctions arose from interactions between trading corporations in Russia and North Korea.
