Facing an enforcement action from CBP or FDA?

If your business is facing enforcement action from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), schedule an intake meeting with our office by clicking the button below.

We help businesses navigate seizures, detentions, and regulatory violations related to imported goods, including tobacco and vapor products.

Joint Operation Nets Major Seizure

In a major federal enforcement effort, FDA and CBP have seized nearly two million unauthorized e-cigarettes at the Port of Chicago, with a retail value of $33.8 million. The products, which largely originated in China, were found to be mislabeled and undervalued in what appeared to be an attempt to avoid detection and import duties. Brands included in the seizure lacked FDA marketing authorization and are illegal to sell in the United States.

This action is part of a broader trend in which the FDA and CBP are working closely together to stop non-compliant products from entering the U.S. market. The agencies are sharing information, conducting joint inspections, and taking enforcement actions that span customs violations, intellectual property concerns, and federal tobacco law compliance.

Take Action Before the Government Does

If your business imports vapor products or other regulated goods, now is the time to make sure you’re operating in full compliance. The government is investing more resources into identifying violations and holding businesses accountable. Whether you’ve received a detention notice, a warning letter, or simply want to avoid enforcement trouble, we are ready to assist. Schedule an intake meeting today and take control of your compliance strategy.
