OFAC has removed "General License No. 13E" regarding the authorization of activities involving Nyans AB in Venezuela. To complement this removal, OFAC has also issued "General License 3H" and "General License 9G" which are related to authorizing transactions with certain bonds and dealings in certain securities in Venezuela respectively.

The Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list has been updated with North Korea-related designations. A list of information for all blocked persons is available in a memo that is amended weekly.

OFAC and the U.S. Coast Guard have issued a global advisory to the maritime industry, especially those in the energy and metal sectors, warning of deceptive shipping practices that are being used to evade sanctions. The sanctions mentioned give special attention to Iran, North Korea and Syria. The advisory gives a comprehensive list of the best practices that can be used to avoid exposure to sanctions.
