An executive order has been issued "Blocking Property of Certain Persons Associated with the International Criminal Court." The president claims that the International Criminal Court (ICC) has illegitimately asserted jurisdiction over the U.S. and allied personnel citing to the fact that the U.S. is not a party to the Rome Statute, which empowers the ICC. The executive order essentially blocks any ICC officials conducting any investigation of US officials from their assets within the U.S. as well as entry into the country. The order in its entirety with the specific methods of blocking are given in full below.
