BIO

Debra has practiced in the areas of United States Customs/export regulation and trade compliance for more than 20 years. Debra counsels importers, exporters and Customs brokers, thus preventing costly penalties and sanctions. She also represents the interests of such entities through all levels of adversarial proceedings related to the United States regulation of imports and exports. Her efforts have resulted in the avoidance of large penalties and secured the release
of seized freight. Debra develops C-TPAT and import/export compliance programs for a wide range of companies. She has considerable expertise with the specific requirements of the
following industries: food, electronics, automotive, textiles and apparel, footwear, building materials, production machinery including solar power, general merchandise, and petroleum.  In her free time, Debra enjoys drinking and learning about wine, watching baseball and outdoor activities, such as hiking.
